The Netgear uses the BCM3349 chip (same as  the SB5101) but it's hardware  better than

the Motorola SB5101. It has a 8mb flash and a 16mb ram comparing to the SB5101 that only has a 2mb flash and a 8mb ram giving you the benefits of better performance and preventing modem crashing with multiple loads of connections or torrenting.

 

 This modems are NEW and where opened to program the firmware.
